Clonidine Oral Suspension
Clonidine oral suspension is a compounded liquid prescription that may be considered when a child needs an individualized clonidine preparation. Prescribers sometimes use clonidine for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, tics, or selected sleep concerns. The reason for treatment and the formulation matter because clonidine can lower heart rate and blood pressure. Your child's prescriber should review other medicines and arrange follow-up checks. Hydrochlorothiazide Suspension
Hydrochlorothiazide oral suspension is a prescription medicine used to help lower high blood pressure and reduce fluid swelling (edema). This liquid form may be helpful for children or others who have trouble swallowing tablets. It works by helping the kidneys remove extra salt and water through the urine. Use only for the condition your prescriber is treating and follow the dosing plan given.
Greer's Goo
This compounded ointment, often called “Greer's Goo,” combines an antifungal (nystatin), a mild steroid (hydrocortisone 1%), and a skin-protecting barrier (zinc oxide 20%). It is designed for inflamed, irritated, or yeast-infected skin folds such as diaper areas. The mixture fights yeast, calms redness and itching, and shields the skin from moisture to help it heal.
