Clinical Information
Evidence-based details for healthcare providers
Use as directed by your healthcare provider. Apply a thin layer to clean, dry skin once daily, preferably at night, unless your provider gives other instructions. If you miss a dose, apply it when you remember unless it is almost time for your next dose. Do not apply two layers at the same time.
Retinoic acid speeds up skin cell turnover and boosts collagen, helping fade dark spots and soften wrinkles. Niacinamide lowers skin inflammation, shrinks pores, and strengthens the skin barrier. Hyaluronic acid attracts and holds water, giving skin a fuller look. Mild improvements can appear in 2-4 weeks, with clearer tone and smoother texture usually seen after 8-12 weeks. Benefits last only with ongoing use.
Do not use if you are pregnant, trying to become pregnant, or breastfeeding (retinoic acid can harm a developing baby). Do not use if you have an allergy to retinoids, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, or any ingredient in this cream. Avoid use on broken, sunburned, or infected skin. Not for children under 12. People with active eczema, rosacea flares, or severe skin sensitivity should talk to a dermatologist before starting.
Avoid using other prescription or over-the-counter retinoid products (tretinoin, adapalene, tazarotene) at the same time; this can cause severe irritation. Benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid may inactivate retinoic acid or add dryness—if your provider approves them, use at a different time of day. Alcohol-based toners, astringents, and exfoliating scrubs can increase burning and peeling. Medications that raise sun sensitivity, such as doxycycline or hydrochlorothiazide, may heighten risk of sunburn—use sun protection and talk with your prescriber.
Very common (more than 10%): dryness, peeling, mild redness, tightness in the first few weeks. Common (1–10%): stinging, itching, mild flare-up of acne, skin darkening or lightening that fades with continued use. Uncommon (0.1–1%): swelling, severe redness, crusting. Rare but serious: allergic rash with hives or severe burning—stop use and seek medical help right away. Most irritation lessens after 2–4 weeks; adding a gentle moisturizer can help.
Store at room temperature 68-77°F (20-25°C) in the original pump with cap tightly closed. Keep away from heat sources, direct sunlight, and high humidity (bathroom storage is not recommended). Do not freeze. Shelf life is 12 months after dispensing. Dispose of unused or expired cream through a pharmacy take-back program or seal it in a plastic bag mixed with coffee grounds before placing in household trash.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long before I see results with Plump Max?
Most people notice smoother skin and a softer feel in about 2–4 weeks. Bigger changes like fewer fine lines and a more even tone usually show after 8–12 weeks of nightly use.
Can I use this cream if I have sensitive skin?
Yes, but start slowly—use it every other night for the first week and apply a fragrance-free moisturizer afterward. If redness or peeling becomes painful, stop and call your provider.
Do I need sunscreen while using this product?
Absolutely. Retinoic acid makes skin more sensitive to the sun. Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher every morning and limit midday sun to avoid burns and dark spots.
Is it safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
No. Topical retinoids can harm a developing baby. Stop use at least one month before trying to conceive and avoid while pregnant or nursing.
Can I layer Plump Max with other skincare products?
Wait at least 15 minutes after washing your face, then apply Plump Max. After it dries, you may add a gentle moisturizer. Avoid other retinoids, strong acids, or exfoliants unless your provider directs.
What should I do if my skin gets very dry or flaky?
Use a mild, soap-free cleanser and apply a plain moisturizer twice daily. If dryness is still bothersome after two weeks, reduce application to every other night or contact your healthcare provider.
Can men use Plump Max, or is it only for women?
Men and women can both benefit from this cream. The active ingredients work the same on all adult skin types.
How should I store the pump when traveling?
Keep the pump tightly closed and place it in a cool, dry part of your luggage. Avoid leaving it in hot cars or checked baggage that may freeze.
