Use exactly as directed by your healthcare provider. Place one tablet on your tongue and allow it to dissolve completely before swallowing. Do not take more than one dose in 24 hours unless told otherwise by your provider. If you miss a dose planned for sexual activity, take it when needed but never double up doses.
Both sildenafil and tadalafil block an enzyme called phosphodiesterase type-5 (PDE-5) in the blood vessels of the penis. Blocking PDE-5 keeps a chemical called cGMP from breaking down, so blood can flow in and create an erection when you are sexually stimulated. Sildenafil starts to work in about 15-30 minutes and lasts 4-6 hours. Tadalafil starts to work in about 20-30 minutes and can last up to 36 hours. The rapid-dissolve tablet lets the medicines enter your bloodstream faster through tissues under the tongue.
Do not use if you take any nitrate medicines for chest pain (like nitroglycerin) because the combination can cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure. Do not use if you use riociguat for pulmonary hypertension. Do not use if you are allergic to sildenafil, tadalafil, or any ingredient in this product. Do not use if your healthcare provider has told you to avoid sexual activity due to heart problems. Avoid if you have severe liver disease, very low blood pressure, or recent stroke or heart attack. Not for use in women or children under 18.
Severe: Nitrates (Nitrostat, Imdur), nicorandil, or riociguat may cause life-threatening low blood pressure—never combine. Alpha-blockers (tamsulosin, doxazosin) can add to blood-pressure lowering; take at least 4 hours apart if approved by your provider. Moderate: Strong CYP3A4 inhibitors like ketoconazole, itraconazole, ritonavir, and clarithromycin can raise drug levels and side effects; dose adjustment may be needed. Alcohol may worsen dizziness and blood-pressure drop—limit to one or two drinks. Grapefruit juice may increase blood levels; avoid or limit. Herbal supplements like St. John’s wort may lower effectiveness. Always tell your provider about all prescriptions, over-the-counter medicines, and supplements you use.
Very common (more than 1 in 10): headache, facial flushing. Common (1-10 in 100): nasal congestion, indigestion, back pain, muscle aches, dizziness, vision changes (blue tint, blurred vision). Uncommon (1-10 in 1,000): raised heartbeat, ringing in ears, dry mouth. Rare but serious: sudden loss of vision or hearing, prolonged erection lasting more than 4 hours (priapism), severe allergic reaction with rash or swelling, sudden chest pain. Most mild side effects fade within a few hours. Seek emergency help for chest pain, vision or hearing loss, or an erection lasting longer than 4 hours.
Store at room temperature (68-77°F, 20-25°C). Keep tablets in their original blister or pouch until use to protect from moisture and light. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Dispose of expired or unused tablets through a pharmacy take-back program or mix with coffee grounds in a sealed bag before placing in household trash.
Frequently Asked Questions
How fast will the rapid dissolve tablet start working?
Most people feel effects in about 15-30 minutes because the tablet melts and absorbs under the tongue. Sexual stimulation is still needed for an erection to occur.
Can I split or chew the tablet?
No. Put the whole tablet on your tongue and let it dissolve. Splitting or chewing can reduce how well and how fast it works.
Is it safe to drink alcohol with this medication?
Small amounts (one or two drinks) are usually safe, but larger amounts can lower your blood pressure too much and increase dizziness. Limit or avoid alcohol on days you take the tablet.
What if I also take medicines for an enlarged prostate?
Some prostate medicines like tamsulosin or doxazosin can add to the blood-pressure-lowering effect. Tell your provider so doses can be adjusted or spaced out safely.
How often can I take these tablets?
Do not take more than one dose in 24 hours unless your provider gives different instructions. Taking extra doses can increase side effects and does not improve results.
What should I do with an erection that lasts too long?
If your erection lasts longer than 4 hours, go to an emergency room right away. A prolonged erection can permanently damage the penis if not treated quickly.
