Gabapentin Solution is a patient-specific compounded oral liquid prepared in-house by a 503A compounding pharmacy for avian use when a commercially available product does not meet the prescriber's needs. This preparation contains gabapentin USP in a sugar-free oral syrup vehicle and is dispensed in a light-resistant bottle for oral dosing only. This compounded preparation is not FDA-approved, and its use should follow the directions of a licensed veterinarian.
Atenolol Oral Suspension for Pets
Atenolol oral suspension for pets is a compounded veterinary prescription that may be considered for certain heart rate or rhythm problems in dogs or cats. A veterinarian may also include atenolol in selected care plans for heart muscle disease. The liquid form allows the prescribed medicine to be measured for an individual animal. The choice depends on the pet's diagnosis, weight, other medicines, and heart function. Regular veterinary checks are important because atenolol can slow the heartbeat and lower blood pressure.
