Clinical Information
Use as directed by your healthcare provider. Place one tablet under your tongue and let it fully dissolve; do not chew or swallow whole. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for your next scheduled dose. Do not take two doses at the same time. Your healthcare provider will decide how long you should continue therapy.
Sermorelin mimics the natural hormone that tells your pituitary gland to release growth hormone (GH). Higher GH levels then raise insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1), which supports cell repair, lean muscle growth, fat metabolism, and restful sleep. Most people start to feel better energy and sleep within 2-4 weeks. Body composition changes, such as decreased body fat and increased muscle tone, usually appear after 3-6 months of regular use. The tablet begins working within 15–30 minutes of dissolving and its effects on GH pulses last about 3 hours.
Do not use if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding (may affect fetal growth). Do not use if you have any active cancer or a history of cancer that is not in complete remission, because growth hormone can stimulate tumor growth. Do not use if you have uncontrolled thyroid disease or severe breathing problems during sleep (sleep apnea) unless cleared by your provider. Do not use if you are allergic to sermorelin or any ingredients in this tablet. Not for use in children unless specifically prescribed by a pediatric endocrinologist.
Corticosteroids (such as prednisone) may blunt the GH-releasing effect of sermorelin. Thyroid hormone replacement may need dose adjustment as GH levels rise; have your thyroid labs checked regularly. Insulin or other diabetes medicines may require closer blood sugar monitoring because GH can raise glucose levels. Alcohol taken in large amounts can reduce GH release and worsen side effects like dizziness. Tell your provider about all prescription drugs, OTC medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements you take before starting sermorelin.
Very common (more than 1 in 10 people): mild flushing of the face or warmth shortly after dosing, usually lasting less than 30 minutes. Common (1–10 in 100 people): headache, dizziness, mild nausea, tingling around the mouth, temporary sleepiness. Uncommon (1–10 in 1,000 people): diarrhea, vivid dreams, temporary increase in heart rate. Rare but serious: swelling of lips, tongue, or throat (possible allergy), severe dizziness or fainting. Most mild effects fade within a few weeks. Contact your provider if side effects are severe, last longer than 2 weeks, or if you notice signs of allergic reaction.
Store at room temperature (68-77 °F / 20-25 °C) in the original, tightly closed blister pack. Keep tablets dry and protect from heat, humidity, and direct sunlight. Do not store in the bathroom or kitchen. Do not remove a tablet from the blister until ready to use. Keep out of reach of children. Dispose of expired or unused tablets through a pharmacy take-back program or mix with coffee grounds in a sealed bag before placing in household trash.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q:How do I take a rapid-dissolve tablet correctly?
A:Place one tablet under your tongue and keep your mouth closed until it fully melts—about 60–90 seconds. Avoid eating or drinking for 5–10 minutes afterward to let the medicine absorb.
Q:When will I start noticing results?
A:Most people feel better sleep and energy within the first month. Visible changes in body fat, muscle tone, or skin may take 3–6 months of steady use.
Q:Can I use sermorelin if I have diabetes?
A:Maybe, but you need close monitoring. Sermorelin can raise blood sugar slightly. Check your glucose more often and let your provider know if your readings change.
Q:What should I do if I forget a dose?
A:Take the missed dose as soon as you remember unless it is within 6 hours of your next scheduled dose. If it’s close to the next dose, skip the missed one. Never double up.
Q:Is it safe to drink alcohol while on sermorelin?
A:Light social drinking is usually fine, but heavy alcohol use can lower growth hormone release and increase dizziness. Limit alcohol and drink plenty of water.
Q:Do I need to refrigerate these tablets?
A:No. Keep them at normal room temperature in the sealed blister pack. Just protect them from moisture and excessive heat.
