Clinical Information

Use as directed by your healthcare provider. Apply a thin layer to clean, dry skin once daily, usually at night, unless told otherwise. If you miss a dose, apply it the next night. Do not apply extra cream to make up for a missed dose.

Retinoic acid speeds up skin cell turnover and boosts collagen, helping fade dark spots and smooth wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid pulls water into the outer skin layers, improving hydration and plumping fine lines within hours. Ascorbic acid is an antioxidant that blocks enzymes making excess pigment and protects skin from free-radical damage. Most people see brighter, smoother skin in 4-8 weeks; full benefits appear after 3-6 months with regular use.

Do not use if you are pregnant, trying to become pregnant, or breastfeeding; topical retinoids may harm an unborn baby. Do not use if you have an allergy to retinoic acid, hyaluronic acid, ascorbic acid, or any cream ingredients (can cause rash or swelling). Do not apply to broken, sunburned, or eczematous skin because it may worsen irritation. Not recommended for children under 12 years old without a doctor’s advice.

Avoid using other topical retinoids, benzoyl peroxide, salicylic or glycolic acid peels, and strong exfoliating scrubs at the same time—they can cause extra redness and peeling. Oral tetracycline antibiotics and isotretinoin may increase skin sensitivity. Products with alcohol, menthol, or astringents can dry or sting the skin when combined. Always tell your provider about prescription medicines, over-the-counter creams, and herbal supplements you use.

Very common (more than 1 in 10 people): mild redness, dryness, or peeling in the first 2-4 weeks—usually lessens with continued use. Common (1-10 in 100 people): stinging, burning, or itching after application; increased sun sensitivity. Uncommon (1-10 in 1000 people): skin darkening or lightening in patches, swelling, or severe irritation. Rare but serious: allergic reaction with hives or facial swelling—stop use and seek medical help right away. Most mild effects improve after skin adjusts or with less frequent use.

Store at room temperature 68-77 °F (20-25 °C). Keep the cap tightly closed and protect from light and humidity. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Discard any unused cream 12 months after opening or by the expiration date. Use a pharmacy take-back program or mix with coffee grounds in a sealed bag before throwing away.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q:How soon will I see results from this cream?

A:Many people notice smoother, more hydrated skin in about 4 weeks. Dark spots and fine lines usually improve within 3–6 months of nightly use.

Q:Can I use this with my regular moisturizer?

A:Yes. Wait about 10 minutes after applying the prescription cream, then use a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer to lessen dryness or peeling.

Q:What if my skin gets too red or flaky?

A:Skip a night or two and apply a moisturizer more often. If irritation is severe or lasts longer than 2 weeks, contact your healthcare provider for guidance.

Q:Do I need to wear sunscreen while using this?

A:Absolutely. Retinoic acid makes skin more sensitive to sunlight. Use a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher every morning and reapply during the day.

Q:Is this cream safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

A:No. Retinoic acid may cause birth defects. Stop using the product and talk to your doctor if you become pregnant, plan to get pregnant, or are breastfeeding.

Q:Can I combine this cream with over-the-counter acne products?

A:Be cautious. Benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, or strong exfoliants can increase dryness and redness. Check with your provider before adding other acne treatments.

Q:Where should I keep the tube?

A:Store it at room temperature away from heat, moisture, and direct sunlight—do not keep it in the bathroom. Make sure the cap is tightly closed.

Q:What happens if I accidentally apply more than directed?

A:Using extra cream will not speed up results and may cause more redness or peeling. Wash off the excess with mild soap and water and resume normal use the next night.
